I suppose I'm not getting super-realistic here with the drawing because I'm not spending hours and hours on it, these 30 days of drawing are more or less sketches.

Day 4 - Something Being Smashed

(The first time I saw Avengers in the theater, everyone was laughing so hard that I didn't even know Hulk said "Puny god" after smashing Loki until the second time I saw it. )

Day 3 - Onomatopoeia

After I finished this one I hadn't quite realized that tomorrow's drawing is to draw something being smashed. Oops, it still works though.

30 Day Drawing Challenge (AGAIN!)

So I've been pretty busy recently with teaching and decided that I need to spend some more time drawing. Working on bigger projects is ok, but I miss sitting down with my sketchbook as much as I did during the summer. With that attitude in mind, a fellow art teacher and I have begun a 30-Day Drawing Challenge! (Well this is the second challenge for me) I will be creating a sketch/drawing every day and doing my best to post them up each day. I apologize in advance for the scan quality, I'm going to do these quickly. So below you will find my drawing for Day One!

Self-Portrait

(Digital)

The title says it all. Here is a self-portrait that I've spent the past little over a week on. This entire painting was digital from start to finish.  It has gone through a series of revisions and I have incorporated some feedback (BIG thanks to Team Awesome) to the work to this level (and of course snuck some halftone pattern into at about 2% opacity). I may be posting up some in-process work in the future if I can get all of my screenshots together.
