(Digital)
Well the post title is pretty self-explanatory. I got a new car - the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I'll skip boring you about the car, but I like it enough that I decided to do a quick rendering. Every time I delve back into digital art it makes me want to do more. Of course, every time I get back into traditional art, all I want to do is that. (Conundrum much?) Anyways, for this piece, I sketched out the line-work and then built up the color in layers from there. Nothing too fancy or complicated. Just your average layer filters/layer masks/layer groups and more layers than I should be using haha. The final result (above) is still pretty rough, but it was never intended to be a finished piece. I only spent a couple of hours on it, but I'm happy with it, and it's one thing I wanted to draw checked off the list, so my mind can rest easier. Hmm anyways I think that's all for now. I have some really fun work that I've been doing for a class that I want to post up as soon as I get it returned. Check back soon!
Have you considered sending that to Hyundai? Just as like, fan art in post card or something?
ReplyDeleteBecause I could see that in an ad really easily...
haha thanks Sarah, but I think I would def. need to spend more time on it before I considered sending it in. It's really unfinished. But who knows, maybe I could do fan art in exchange for new cars? haha.
